Micro-macro models for rubber
With M. Barchiesi (Spain), A. Gloria has found new counterexamples to the cell formula in nonconvex homogenization, one of them being related to the discrete model for rubber, see [4] . The multiscale model for rubber has also been analyzed by A. Gloria, R. Alicandro (Italy) and M. Cicalese (Italy). An article is in preparation. This analysis shows the link between the model and more standard results in stochastic homogenization. Focusing on a simpler discrete model, F. Otto (Germany) and A. Gloria have begun to quantify the variance of the output of a computation in stochastic homogenization of discrete elliptic operators. An article [24] has been submitted for publication and another one is in preparation.
