Analytical computation of the Green's function of bilayered porous media

The Cagniard-de Hoop is particularly well known in the physics and engineering communities for calculating analytical solutions of time-dependent wave propagation problems in stratified media, especially in seismology. However, it had never been applied to the wave propagation in heterogeneous porous media. The computation of analytical solutions in this kind of media is particularly interesting to obtain reference solutions for the validation of numerical codes, but it is also useful for a for a better understanding of the reflexion/transmission properties of the media. Using the Cagniard-de Hoop technique, we have provided the solution to the problem of wave propagation in bilayered acoustic/poroelastic [25] , [26] and poroelastic/poroelastic  [59] , [60] media both in two and three dimensions. We have implemented these solutions in two computational codes, Gar6more2D (for the 2D problem) and Gar6more3D (for the 3D problem).
