Title: Hedcut Stippling

Overview: The goal of this project was to design an algorithm that automatically creates Hedcut illustrations from images. This black and white style was introduced in the Wall Street journal to draw people faces while enhancing the original image tone. These kind of drawings are composed of various primitives, like stipples for faces, lines for silhouettes and crossing lines for clothes. We designed a program that is able to apply a series of filters on any kind of images from which we have extracted some features maps.
