Volumetric Meshing Module for Graphite
This year (2007), we developed a new module for manipulating volumetric meshes in Graphite, and meshing the interior of a triangulated surface. The module comprises the following tools (demonstrated in Figure 5 ):
Mesh pre-processing tools: we developed various hole-filling strategies. Olivier Génevaux also implemented an efficient version of the “Pliant Remeshing” algorithm  .
Data structures for volumetric meshes: we developed a flexible version of our mesh data structures  , together with an efficient attribute management system to dynamically attach properties to them.
Volumetric meshing: we interfaced several volumetric meshers, including CGAL and Tetmesh.
